Getting to the Fast Lane

Well, sisters, today was the day that I finally got my transition into the fast lane. I had my annual physical exam with the Veterans' Health Service. After the usual taking my vitals, giving me the results of my blood work from last week, the doctor asked me if I had any issues that I wanted to discuss. It was then I brought up my gender "issues." I didn't know what to expext.

Then she started asking a few questions. "When did I start having these thoughts." "How often do I dress as a female." etc. Then she looked me in the eye and said, "So you really want to be a woman?" I said yes and she said, "You'd better do something about your eyebrows."

She then told me the VA can help and gave me a referral to specialists. I should get a call setting up an appointment by the end of the week. She told me they will get me on estrogen and t-blockers, moniitor my blood levels, get me counciling, etc.

I am so very happy I had this conversation. I should have done it years ago. I am now in thefast lane for my road to womanhood. Smile
