Way back in May this year (2010) I sent a request to Boy George asking for an interview for Frock Magazine. Well I didn't hear a thing until today, when I sent my request again and he replied within a couple of minutes.
He's agreed to do the interview and I have sent him a heap of questions. I'll be interested to see if he ever gets round to sending his replies back to me.
Earlier in the year I sent a similar request to Alexis Arquette who also agreed to be interviewed. But after sending her the interview questions I never heard a single thing.
I wrote to her a few times asking if everything was okay but didn't get a reply.
So, the lesson I learnt there is, just because a celebrity agrees to do something, don't count your chickens because they may never do it.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we are hoping to install a new suggestions and recommendations feature, which will allow users to make suggestions for friends and other content to other members. It will also do a heap of other things that you might already be familiar with from Facebook. I'm quite excited about that.
On the down side, our developers have, after months of leading me on, just stepped back from transferring the data across from the old site. Now I have to find some new developers, setting us back even more. Boo-hiss!
