What a difference a day makes!

  After dragging my heels for years, I finally saw my GP on friday evening. Expecting a difficult time explaining things, imagine my surprise to discover she is not only fully supportive but works closely with a local Gender Identity Clinic - which I never knew existed! Towards the end of my appointment, she phoned the Clinic, spoke to the Doctor there who said she could see me the next morning.
  
  So on Saturday morning I had a meeting at the Clinic. Where I discovered the Doctor is transexual, very knowledgeable and very competent. I could'nt ask for better care.
  
  And if that was'nt enough - and I've been buzzing all weekend! - I had a message on Facebook from a niece I have'nt seen in more than 8 years, she's 21 now. Amongst other things she said: "Uncle or auntie you are always a welcome member of OUR family anytime."
  
  I can't remember ever having such an amazing 24hrs!
