I know that I have already made the decision to move forward with being Mere full-time. What I need to do now is decide how to let those in my professional life know. Yes, I did write a letter over a year ago, and posted it in the Forums, but what I need to decide is exactly when to tell them.
This complicates a few things as I have developed some very close, personal relationships with people at work. One girl, Sarah, does know about me. However, when it comes to Carlita, that is a different story. She adores my daughter (and the feeling is very mutual), and often refers to my kid as her "step-daughter." They really could pass for mother and daughter (if Carlita had my daughter when she was only 14!). I will probably tell another girl, Jillian, within the next few weeks. As for the men, well........I know some of them will not take well to this.
I FINALLY downloaded the T-Log and plan on using it as much as possible.
Lexi is really making plans to hop on a Greyhound bus to come up here in September. She put it off once or twice because she learned she could get better fares for that month (as well as taking care of Brandi) which actually works out quite well. The museum will be done with the extended summer hours.
I just got hit with a big blast of steam. I was checking on this chicken dish that is baking in the oven and didn't stand back before opening the lid. That steam did NOT feel good on my face!
Otherwise, I am enjoying a nice, rare day off. I see my daughter later today, so that will be fun. And very taxing on my bank account.
