Hi y'all......
This is a quick posting right now. I have to get ready to leave to go hang out with my kid today. I'm taking the train since my car is acting up again and I don't trust it out on the highway.
Josie was able to use a vet conference to come here to Chicago for the event. We had a fantastic time. Yes, she took some piccies. Unfortunately, there's only one of us together, and I look terrible in it. We definitely used Saturday night to do some fun girly stuff. On Sunday she came with me to the museum. She really enjoyed it. I was working the Zephyr that day, and while I gave her a walkthough of the train, she really didn't need to see me do my routine there. I would have rather she saw me in the coal mine or U-505. My coworkers really took to her and treated her very well. The guys said they thought Josie's cute.
I was so depressed taking her back to the airport on Sunday. We were even pulled over by the police because of the way my car looked. They thought perhaps I might have stolen it. Once I told them how it was broken into and was reported to the police, why two white people like us were on Chicago's west side, and that I had just left work, they let us go. I really don't blame them for pulling us over to check it out. I'm actually surprised I hadn't been stopped earlier.
While it was sad to see Josie leave, I do have this great weekend to remember. I am planning on having another one just after the first of the year, perhaps in late February when we all need a break from the winter.
