Yesterday I met with my new doctor, and I must say I like him a LOT. He was totally cool about my being a TS, and is going to support me in transitioning. Plus, girls, if you're into men, he is quite good looking, too. He was such a nice guy.
Although I have been previously cleared for HRT, those blood tests are over a year old. While he highly doubts any change, he wants to do new tests, just for procedure. He wants to be able to say - if ever asked - that he was being thorough and not relying on old results. I agree with the move, and will do this blood work on Tuesday morning.
While I can find an endocrinologist on my own, he knows several good ones, and will personally make a reference for me. This was a nice stroke of luck. I need to get back to my therapist, and someone recommended I get a second one who specializes in transgendered persons. I will do that right away.
In one week I jump back into a plane and head out to Colorado to hang out with Josie for my birthday. We always have so much fun when we are together. Well, we better, since we're a couple! We are going shopping for rings, so, stay tuned, there might be an announcement soon.
