Maybe summer is over.....maybe. At least the temperature isn't in the three digits and we finally got some rain that did more than dirty the windshield.
School started this week - my wife is off to the "inspirational" sessions. What a waiste of time.(in my humble opinion).
She had one speaker yesterday who maybe knows about as much as we do on brain functions...that's a plus.
Not to brag but the 90s was the decade of the "Brain." More research was published during that period about the brain than ever before. I followed all the releases and also the interpretations of the data. It was very thought provoking and luckily some of it was useable on a daily basis with my Special students. I'm glad to see that someone is still preaching from the same book, so to speak.
Otherwise it's the same old, same old....possibly with new names given to the "same old." Back in the 80s when I was in university getting my grad degree in education. The professors would quote "authorities" who did their research in the 19th century. I asked for the new data and was told there wasn't any except for the Bloom's Taxonamy and that was from the 60s. I guess the brain studies wont become part of the cirriculum until the 22nd century.
As for me - I've got a new hair do - blond. It really has given my ego a boost. Happy daze....days.
