My bride and I have had two conversations during the past months. The first was about Gracie's persona becoming more female. My bride made that statement. Further on in that conversation I said that if I were female I'd probably be lesbian.- she agreed. The most recent conversation was that I associate more with women than men. In thinking about that I have always gotten along with women better than men. I've had women bosses and we had a good working relationship. So, I summize that my female persona has always been there. It gradually came to the visible surface over thirty years.  Very interesting.

Phil Rizuto, former catcher, former manager of baseball, is many times quoted for his "colorfull" language - some strange. He once said "It's deja vue again."Well that's about how I feel - broke my diet over the weekend- demon Irish whiskey "done me in." Here it is Wednesday and I have firm resolve to avoid drink this weekend. As I told my beloved wife "This is a hell of a time of year to be dieting." But the doctor said either I lose weight and bring the BP down or he' have to put me on meds. I don't like meds - I'm dependent on a CPAP machine to keep breathing during the night and I take meds to keep the shingles at bay. To me that's dependence and as  "super girl" I must be at my best. Got to save the universe...or whatever.  I could cheat - when I get my next appointment I could call in and get it moved to a later date - by then the holidays would be over and I can really work on losing weight - like starving - oops that won't work either. I love my own cooking.I read these threads in which a tranny bemoans why things are the way they are. Well, I guess I'm lucky - I know who I am - I'm a Tranny and a proud Tranny at that. Unfortunatly, a plump Tranny and I've got to lose weight. I'm trying- but as my dear sainted mother used to say "You're very trying." I don't think she meant that as encouragement.I'm glad I have this opportunity to vent. I'm bonding with Eddy from Absolutely Fabulous.bye from fat Gracie

I realize I have a weight problem - I can't seem to break below 190 lbs or 13.57 stone (for my British sisters).  I don't drink anymore or any less (very old joke :-). Since I'm an Army veteran, I go the the Veterans Affairs clinic for my bi-annual checkups. Today the doctor (they enjoy harrassing me) said my blood pressure is too high - either I lose weight (35 lbs/2.5 stone) or I must go on medication. I hate medication so he gave me a dietHere it is -1. MUST EAT 3 MEALS EVERY DAY2. EAT A PIECE OF FRESH FRUIT 40 MINUTES BEFORE EACH MEAL3. DRINK 5 -20 OZ. GLASSES OF FLUIDS -CONTAINING ZERO CALORIES i.e.WATER, NON SWEET TEA OR PURE FRUIT DRINKS4. LAST MEAL OF THE DAY 3.5 HOURS BEFORE BEDTIME5. EAT FRESH FRUIT OR FRESH VEGETABLES FOR SNACKS6. EXERCISE 3 OR 4 TIMES PER WEEK - ELEVATE HEART RATE FOR 45 MINUTESNO HAMBERGERS, NO FRIED FOODS, NO FAST FOODS, NO CREAMY DRESSING ON SALADS AND NO CHEESEAGAIN FRESH FRUIT ONLYSTEAM FRESH VEGIES, BAKE OR GRILL CHICKEN, FISH AND LEAN MEATS.KEEP A LOGHave fun.I start with our evening meal.  Should be interesting; maybe I'll get to wear size 16 yet. I hope, I hope.  He didn't mention drinking alcohol - not that I'm a lush but I'll restrict it till the weekend.

Realizing that any member can read my blog is frightening . True I can read everyone's blog too. But still...it's sort of like reading someone's diary. Got to change my thinking from diary to journal. That's good - a journal - will my thinking change over time? Will my journal show that I've progressed? I think it will -time will tell. (I think Time has a big mouth)Something clicked in my brain yesterday which I like to mention (in my journal). Unfortunately, this doesn't fit into any forum so I'll put it here.  It is my thinking that when an individual becomes a public figure (elected to government office) then that person loses all semblance of a private life. I know that sounds rather strange. Yes they can have a private life but when? Here in the US we keep hearing of executive privilage, private papers etc. How can someone who is elected to serve the people have privilages that are not public? It doesn't sound right to me. In business if you are working for a corporation or company and you develope a new process, formula, design or whatever. That new something doesn't belong to you, it belongs to the company. You're being paid by the company so what you do on company time belongs to the company.Back to the elected official - since their job is not a 9 to 5 job any writing or other activity is within the Public Domain and belongs to the public. Nixon's or Johnson's tapes didn't belong to them -they were public property. I don't like the idea of the need for the Public Information Act. Anything the government produces is the property of the people -the public. This idea of "national security" appears as misuse of power. There have been many instances where it's been proved to be a hiding place for examples of stupidity. That's enough "journaling" for today.

Well Toto it's Friday again. Have we had a good week? Writing in the second or third person is strange - surreal but sometimes it's fun.My week has been good. I've been doing water arobics in a heated pool - the Arthritis Foundation has trained instructors. It works; my back injury becomes more tolerable. Do that three times a week for one hours each time. I get to teach art tomorrow morning - that'll be fun. I'll make it fun (the little darlings)- kids(meaning children) have more capacity for fun and imagination than adults. The kids haven't been told "you can't do that." Adults on the other hand worry about "suppose I do it wrong." I've tried to tell them that there's no right or wrong when it comes to art or making art.I'm off on a tangent. I'm off to another water arobics class - maybe it will help me lose twenty pounds so I can be a size 16. My wife says I live in a fantasy world (sometimes) and I tell her it's so much more fun to fantasize. My mantra is "If it ain't fun don't do it."

I hate to be a whiner but the TW house of games is a very tough house. Everytime I think I have a good hand - down comes the "silver hammer." Maybe I shouldn't be betting $100.00 per hand. If it was money I'd be on the street corner with a sign. "Need help"Thanks to the goddess I'm not a compulsive gambler - come to think of it, I think most of my compulsions have dwindled - guess it's part of the aging process. At least that's what I tell myself. My only compulsion is being Gracie, dressed femme or not. Gracie has better posture and she has a better mental outlook. My bride said the other day that Gracie was younger than "you know who" and even didn't wear glasses - except for reading. I guess I'm a bit vain - hah! Vanity, vanity etc.I'll be very happy when this election campaign is over. My dad used to say "they all tell you what they think will get them elected." Promises are cheat. I can undeerstand why some people get fed up and wont vote. But I'll vote hoping the lesser crooks gets elected. As Porky Pig used to say "Th ..Tha..That's all folks."

I received a comment from Rae about my last blog. I was thrilled that I wasn't just blogging  into the ether.Rae had never encountered the American slag word "snit." Well I guess now that word will become international. I didn't invent it and as far as I know it isn't copyrighted(I' not sure of my spelling on that word). (For a retired teacher, my spelling is getting bad.)Rae did find a definition for "snit.". She got me thinking about all the words we use to express our or someone else's distain or dislike or mood. "Huff" is a good one. My mother used to get in a "huff" if she thought someone slighted her. Then she would "brood" all day about it. My first wife would give me the "silent treatment" - unfortunately it didn't work. I love to read - he, he.The love of my life "vents" when she's unhappy - I still quake when she raises her voice. (old habit-from my mother's ranting).I vent too.  The students (pre-teens) would "whine" a lot. I when I'd call them on it they would whine some more saying "I'm not whining." That's just a few of the words I can think of right now. Just don't ask me to conjugate any of the verbs. Me thinks maybe I've opened a Pandora's box.

I suspect the new hair do is behind my problems.  Yesterday I typed out a heart-wrenching blog - brought tears to my eyes - then I hit the wrong key and it all disappeared. I said to myself - Self? Do you want to type that all over again? Self answered NO!I guess I was in a snit yesterday. Not that I'm not in a snit today but just not as much. I never used to (or should I say - I used to never) get into snits. But I've noticed that blonds do get into snits - I'm married to a blond. Is that a bad combination? Time will tell. I noticed that I'm chewing more gum - at lease I haven't started snapping it --yet.Blonds seem to have some nasty behaviors. They add certain tones to their voice - so you know you're in trouble. They can't seem to pass a mirror without stoping. I've been doing that more and more lately. They run their fingers through their hair - almost constantly. They check their makeup quite often. These little habit are creaping into my life. Is it from becoming a BLOND?I wonder if Katy and Lucie Diamond have this trouble.

Maybe summer is over.....maybe. At least the temperature isn't in the three digits and we finally got some rain that did more than dirty the windshield. School started this week - my wife is off to the "inspirational" sessions. What a waiste of time.(in my humble opinion). She had one speaker yesterday who maybe knows about as much as we do on brain functions...that's a plus. Not to brag but the 90s was the decade of the "Brain." More research was published during that period about the brain than ever before. I followed all the releases and also the interpretations of the data. It was very thought provoking and luckily some of it was useable on a daily basis with my Special students. I'm glad to see that someone is still preaching from the same book, so to speak. Otherwise it's the same old, same old....possibly with new names given to the "same old."  Back in the 80s when I was in university getting my grad degree in education. The professors would quote "authorities" who did their research in the 19th century. I asked for the new data and was told there wasn't any except for the Bloom's Taxonamy and that was from the 60s. I guess the brain studies wont become part of the cirriculum until the 22nd century. As for me - I've got a new hair do - blond. It really has given my ego a boost. Happy daze....days.
