Well there's not much i can say about last night other than it was a truly memorable BD bash with lots of friends & ti couldn't have gone any better
The w/e started in a truly amazing way cos my charllet shouldn't have been here until friday (23rd), but my doorbell rang at 10.20 pm & there she was stood at my front door.it's the only time i've EVER been rendered speechless! Anyway, she was here on my actual birthday(22nd) & that really meant so very much to this girl. Spent most of friday gettin the place re-arranged for my party the following day & it meant shifting things Around & shoving things in cupboards but we got there. That Evenin was spent fine tuning things & waiting for christina & clair to arrive, which they did around midnight.
Eventually we crashed out at about 2am saturday morning & didn't wake til gone 10 am....all of us EXCEPT clair who didn't stir til MID DAY!! by then myself & chris had decorated the place & it did look good. Then her & clair diasppeared off to asda for more supplies whilst i started cooking things for the evening & was tied to the oven for 2 hrs( not literally TIED to the oven).
I must admit by the time i'd finished cooking, i felt as though i'd put on a good spread. Waitin for guests to arrive was FUN cos 2 of them, Caz & Lexie managed to get lost & i ended up having to guide them here over the phone! Then 003 1/2 turned up & then everbody was here. With it bein my BD i chose something very classy to wear....my purple velvet dress & new black heels.The Evening went very well as there was plenty of food & alcohol to go round...WELL a girls gotta be prepared in her BD hasn't she?
The games were a hoot..."tranny" pass the parcel & i lost count of how many times i had to unwrap it, the other game was a product of christina's decidely warped sense of humour....only kiddin hun!. More food & wine followed until by 1am it was time for 4 of my guests( Denise, Fiona,Lexie & Cherry) to get off home, so after they'd gone those who were left just sat nattering amongst themselves but by 3AM we'd had enough & literally dropped into bed..trust ME to do it fully dressed!
Woke around 9.30 & stuck kettle on to make the tea while christina & caroline cooked brekkie which went down a treat after last nights booze comsumption. More tea & talk followed whilst me & charllet tried gettin the place back to normal. Then by 11.30 it was time for caroline to get off home back to Royston, so i saw her off & an hour or so christina & clair had to go home cos they had an even longer trip home. Stood in my living room after everybody had gone home, my head was quite literally in a spin but after some black coffee i was ok to get on with the mammoth task of the kitchen which looked like a BOMB had been dropped in there. Once i got cracking it didn't take that long to do which was a relief. That done, i say myself down & had a drink & had time to gather my thoughts. The fact that friends came from far & wide just to be here with me on my very special night was so touching & infact it brought tears to my eyes so it did. They are all such wonderful friends & i must say i'm SO very lucky to have them cos they's the kind of peeps that would do anything for anybody & there arent many peeps like that around are there?
