Only this time its Tuesday LOLI woke up this morning all alone in a big bed, miles away from where I want to be.We had another truly fab weekend together, but this weekend it was a national holiday, so we got to be together for an extra day.I arrived on Friday afternoon, a lot earlier than I was expecting too, due to a combination of bunking off work early and not a lot of traffic on the roads. That makes a change!!! After lots of hugs and kisses, and a lovely cup of tea, E-J had to go do a work visit. I wasnt complaining, coz I shouldnt have been there till she had finished it, so when her mum dropped off the lawn mower, I thought I would push it around a bit, to tidy up the garden, before she got home, closely followed by the boys. Saturday was a great day, we decided to get the tent out and check it over. We had offered it to Katie for the sparkle event, but we didnt really know if it was any good, because it hadnt seen the light of day for a long time. Luckily it was in great shape, and we got it up for an airing, and made some instructions on how to assemble it all, just before we found out that Katie had organised a marquee in stead LOL. No harm done tho, it needed to be checked over. Then it was time to get ready to head off to town. We had in mind calling on Coopers, the wig shop in Bromham road. Very nice place, very nice owner, and most definitely very tranny friendly. I got changed whilst E-J took the boys round to her mums for the night, and by the time she was back, I was in the garden trying to cool down LOL. So there we were, off to town, all dressed up, and out in daylight again. Fantastic :-)an hour and 225 quid later, and we were walking about in town. Into Savers for some indigestion tabs for Gran, but they had run out, so it was off to another cheap place, but they had none too, so we ended up in boots. The price had gone from 99p in savers, to £1.99 the £2.45 in Boots!!!!! Still, the assistant gave me a big warm smile, so I was happy. Then we needed some school stuff for one of the boys, so woollies was the next shop, and no problems there either, the assistant there was very happy and smiley too. I even had a short conversation with her. Lastly we popped into a little bag shop, and found a perfect little going out bag for E-J, before we headed off to the Barley Mow for something to eat. Then it was home to change and back to the Barley Mow for a fab night out. I had brought my red silk strapless dress to wear, but I hadn’t realised that I had gained a bit of weight, and it was killing me LOL. I only just managed to squeeze in, with a lot of help from E-J. The bodice is slightly boned, and one of the “bones” was jabbing me in a rib, which was uncomfortable in it self, but it was now so tight, I could hardly breath!!!! The weight gain comes from my having given up smoking recently, so Im not all that worried, but I am gonna get myself an exercise thingy soon, so I can stop the gain and maybe loose a bit too, so fingers crossed on that score.I think I vaguely remember staggering out of the pub about 3 am ish? so it was a totally fab night out, after a totally fab day out :-) Sunday was a late start of course, and we got the “are you on the way to collect us yet” phone call from the boys. That was at 11 30 and the answer was yes! Just as soon as we’re dressed LOL. Int that bloody awful of us!!!!!!!!!! The boys are great tho, and they do get spoilt rotten the rest of the time im there, so we int completely heartless :-)Once we had collected them, it was back into town so they could spend their pocket money in the Warhammer shop. Its a futuristic battle thing apparently, and they are well into it, so me and E-J went shopping again, and I got a couple of skirts and some new tops too, all summery for our next day out :-).Then we had a smashing BBQ! Mandy has been looking forward to one of E-J’s famous BBQ’s for ages and ages, and finally got her wish :-) Thanx lovey xxxxxxWe did manage to squeeze in a trip to Stanwick Lakes on Monday. Its a former quarry thats now a nature park, with a super adventure playground, assault course, walks and bike rides. One day soon, we will go back and hire some bikes :-) Being Monday meant only one thing though. We both had heavy hearts, knowing that in a few short hours it would all be over, and I would be on my way home once more. A fantastic weekend, but over all to soon. The more I think about it, the more I think “I hope its the last “weekend” and the first full time living in Bedford” All I need is a job offer, and Im out of Poole and up to Bedford within 4 weeks. That day cannot come soon enough for either of us.Thank you, thank you thank you babes for a lovely lovely weekend xxxxxxxx wub wub

I phoned my GP on Thursday and she told me that she had got the referral back from the Psychiatrist, and read out the conclusion to me. (So far I’ve not received a copy)   She said that “By the appearance when presented, the subject is......” and I cant remember if the word was then “clearly” or “obviously, Transgendered” but she went on with, “so you need to research surgeons and find one to undertake the surgery. Its your money so you need to decide.”   Now thats what has confused the heck out of me, as the psychiatrist had told me that it wasn’t his place to diagnose me as Transsexual. When I then asked if that meant that I would need to be referred to a gender clinic like charring Cross, she said I could if I want to, but I didn’t need to as I have the diagnosis already. So there is my confusion! I was expecting a huge battle to convince the powers concerned that I know in my heart that I should be allowed to transition, so they should just get on with it, but it seems like one 45 minute assessment was enough to achieve that outcome already.   Did I just get from A to Z without hitting B through Y? As if being TS isn’t confusing enough LOL Maybe I should stop dying my hair blonde

And so the great packing fest of 2008 has begun in earnest. My youngest has been fretting about how all his toys will get to Bedford. Ive tried explaining it, but as hes never moved yet, he cant quite see how it will happen, so I decided to start with the kids room. I had no idea they had so many many toys!!!! It took an hour and a half to get it emptied of all their stuff. Then suddenly it was filling the lounge, without a single square inch of carpet to be seen.It took a while to get them going, but by the end of Saturday, the boxes were filled, the bedroom was emptied, and the lounge was, well still filled with boxes to be honest. Being the sort to worry a lot, and having answered the worry about how long it would take to pack up all the kids stuff, I then set about worrying about the size of van that Im going to need. I had in mind a box Luton transit, but it was looking like an expense, and I had no idea if there would actually be enough space. I found one on the web somewhere that listed the cargo space, and its 4 meters by 2 meters by 2.2 meters high, so having measured it out in the lounge, and measured the large furniture items, its looking like plenty of space. The first price I could see on the web was 250 quid for a weekend!!!!!! Then I found a hire company just up the road from where I work now, and its only 150 quid ish, so I'll be on the phone first thing Monday. Lord how I hate packing and moving. And its only just started!!!!!!

On Monday morning I was in a good mood for a change. Seems like ages since I last had something to smile and laugh about, but its ok, it didn’t last.I learnt that as the factory was on short time, I would be spending my last two working days completely alone in the factory. This happened last week as well, but I had thought that after 14 years, I perhaps deserved slightly better this week?To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement. I felt utterly miserable. After 14 years building up the company, dragging it kicking and screaming into the 20th Century, just in time for the beginning of the 21st Century, having given up countless days off, sacrificed weekends, and spending half to one third of my time out o the country for the last 2 years without a single extra penny in wages, I had thought I deserved better than to be expected to slip away quietly, unnoticed, and unappreciated. My Co Director it seems is hiding away at our European factory, and really does want me to just disappear quietly in the night. Thankfully our accounts lady had already decided that that wasn't going to be the case, even if she had to come in unpaid, she would come in anyway. Someone else has decided that she is having none of it either, and will be joining us for a morning of cake eating, tea drinking, reminiscing and gossiping.FAB :-)

there's a square hippopotamus thats good at doing sums

or is it sum hippopotamus thats good at squares? If I knew, I might be able to work out if I have a big enough van or not.

On the plus side, I seem to have run out of boxes at almost exactly the same time I've run out of things to put in them. How lucky was that LOL

So now I have a flat full of boxes, all stuffed to the gunnels, waiting to be loaded in to the van. Now I look at it out of the window, its a flippin big van after all, and maybe ill need a shank of rope or two, to stop it rolling about on the move LOL

And so it is that the great packing fest of 2008 draws to an end. Tomorrow I have people arriving to help with the loading of the van, then its a 3 to 4 hour drive up to Bedford, before the great unpacking fest of 2008 begins LOL

Its going to be the 3rd of October before I get a broadband connection turned on, so Ill be camping out at E-J's, hogging her connection next week
