Hello. I am Heather Harrison, a pre-op male-to-female transsexual living full time as a woman in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have a substantial website located at the following URL: http://gendersociety.com/membersites/personal/heatherh/ This is where I collect articles on my thoughts and feelings, so I will probably not post much in this blog section. When I add a new article to the website, I will reference it here. The website itself consists of three main pages. I have substantial interests besides the transgender issue, so I explore other things there as well. The Transgender page is quite well developed, with a lot of articles and a few pictures. I guess it could be described as a blog, as it records the progress of my transition. The Abandonment page covers abandoned towns, buildings, garbage, and even a road. Old ruins have always interested me, and I have collected enough material to post it on the web. Finally, there is a page devoted to old records, specifically those that date from before 1925. Music back then was quite different, and because of the primitive recording techniques, few people nowadays like to listen to it. So far, I have not posted any recordings there, but as soon as I get some equipment, I will start digitizing my records and I will post recordings. The records are so old that the copyrights have expired, so I can do it legally. I felt it worthwhile to introduce people to this neglected area of recorded music. Who knows what I will add next. The website could become a diverse collection of unrelated subjects, connected only by the fact that I happen to be interested in a variety of things.

On of my favorite sports to participate in is Figure Skating - I have been skating for since I was ten years old. It develops strong legs....

Well I'm sitting here in the dry but it is puoring down outside. No chances to dress today but have received my new shoes from Hay way - nothing spectacular but their service is excellent.

It's Saturday morning and I really feel that things are starting to come together now. Eric has fixed the Who's Online problem and has promised to get back to me with a date for installing the new chat room.  We've also discovered a new messenger system which will be much better than the one we had originally intended to use.  It appears to be easier to configure and Eric has already had some experience of integrating it into the rest of the system. There are still a few niggly bugs to sort out but we're getting there.  The new chat and IM should really revolutionise the way the site works.  I think it's going to be a real milestone. We've invited some of the membership to have a go at our new blogger before it get's it's official launch in the next issue of The Trib.  Haven't had much feedback yet but there are a lot of new blogs appearing. We'll soon be getting going on our Great Trannyweb Survey of 2004 - the last one was two years back and led to the simple message boards we had then, becoming the large and busy community you see today. Our main concern for the present and the future is funding.  We don't receive any grants and rely only on advertising revenue and membership fees.  Together, they just about pay for our hosting bills and a little towards new software.  The rest of the bills are paid for by muggins here, but I can't afford to continue like this. With the advent of new and more expensive software being used and the possiblility that we may need to move to a larger, faster server, we will have to address the funding situation as a matter of urgency. What we really need is for Elton John to make a large donation which will pay our hosting and software costs for the next ten years!

The early years..... My earliest memory of dressing goes back to when I was between the ages of 3 to 4 years old (Just a few years ago)! I am the oldest of three sons that were born to my mother and father and the only one with these desires all my life. After my father went off to work for the day, my mother would dress me in her blouses - strange hugh? From what I always remembered they were print blouses and colorful. They were also lightweight but were very light weight but always with long sleeves. We always lived in a 2nd floor apartment and we had three girls around the same age as me and we all played together. The oldest girl was named Lynn and she was a very good friend. We all grew up in Chicago and lived on the North Side near the Six Corners. I can remember the apartment just like it was yesterday. We lived on Belden Street.  Yes I knew where everything was in the closet even at this early age. To be continued.... Hugs Leslie Lynn
