    • Good morning every one I hope you are all well and life is treating you good. I am so sorry I have been away for such a long time I will try to do better again now. It has been a hard year thus far with a couple of good scares for me but that is by the by now. I have one piece of good news and that is I am down to 99 days till my day in the operating room. …….. I am so excited. Hugs to you all and have a wonderful day …..love Sara

    • dear katie thank you for the nice birthday greeting ,love phylisanne

    • January 15, 2008 12:58 AM GMT
    • Maryanne is right. 4am is when the club closes and you get thrown out. Based on my experience of going clubbing in the Netherlands. And paying over the odds for Grolsch.

    • January 14, 2008 10:39 PM GMT
    • 4AM eh......someone wake me at a decent time zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

    • Yep! You're insane Josi, but we knew that anyway hon!

      Nikki

    • January 14, 2008 12:11 AM GMT
    • I must be insane cuz I love to get up at 4am to go to work at 5am. I love getting off work before everyone else. And I get lots of sympathy and special treatment for working such grueling hours.

    • January 13, 2008 7:25 PM GMT
    • Four in the morning is about the time I usually get the IM 'It's time for bed' so we can get some sleep before work... And I'm old enough to know better!

    • January 13, 2008 3:59 PM GMT
    • The museum is back on the shortened Sunday hours. I decided to take today as a mental holiday since my paycheck won't be taking a hit for this. Besides I have work to do at home.

Tme to myself. Wow. What a concept.

    • January 13, 2008 1:40 PM GMT
    • You mean 4AM is a real time? I thought it was something used to scare us, like the boogeyman!

      Nikki

    • January 13, 2008 10:01 AM GMT

    • Who gets out of bed at 4am on a Sunday morning?

      No sane person!!
Don't know why I said I'd work today.

    • December 23, 2007 8:35 PM GMT
    • The ladies toilets are always cleaner and nicer and you're right, we do chat in there! If you find yourself in a queue the first time you use them Vikki, don't worry, the same thing happened to me and although you feel you are really on the spot, you quickly realise that noone is bothered.

Don't forget to check your hair and make up on the way out!!

      Nikki

    • I like to shop as well as the next girl, but I have yet to ascertain the fascination with going to the loo.
We go in, do what has to be done, and leave.

Sure, they are often cleaner, and the glance in the mirror on the way to check your make-up, if being worn at the time, is still in the right place, and make sure you haven't left your dress tucked in your knickers - though if there is anyone else there they will certainly tell you.
No embarrassment at surreptitously seeing if his is bigger than yours, and no avoiding eye contact.

Oh yes, we talk in there as well. But I'm not telling you guys (men) what about!

      Is it me?

    • December 23, 2007 5:24 AM GMT
    • Hey Vikki girl.....
Where would we be with out SALES omg that is the best time of the year ............. we all turn into shopping goddesses then
      Woo Hoo for sales

And as far as the looooooos go the best things in there are the mirrors to brush up your makeup UNLESS you are busting the loo is oh such a nice thing unless there is a queue and then it is frustrating.
Any how the guys don’t let me in theirs any more lol

      Hugs Sara

    • December 22, 2007 7:18 PM GMT

    • I am often to be found in the Marks & Spencers lingerie dept and I never just browse; and occassionally in a female lavatory but more often for reasons of vanity than a call of nature. Now what's contrary about that?

    • December 22, 2007 2:17 PM GMT
    • Only browsing Vikki? Geez, you can't leave without buying something!

    • December 22, 2007 1:57 PM GMT

    • From todays Times magazine - Robert Cramptons Beta Male Column

"I suppose if forced to choose i would probably rather go into a bra & knickers shop than a ladies lavatory but it would be a close run thing. In the list of things you don't do as a man.......

      HMMM...........

bra & knickers shop - browsing round marks & spencers lingere dept - my idea of time well spent

using a ladies lavatory ... one day i might get out dressed and achieve this ... a goal to aspire to i think.

what can this contrary view means .....................

OH MY GOD .....................I'M A TRANNY.................

      hee hee !!!

    • I put a remote starter in mine. I start it before I evan get dressed to leave.
But the snow has all melted & it's been raining this morning.
      There goes my white Christmas.

    • December 23, 2007 3:05 PM GMT
    • hehe Karen so so funny, thankfully we dont have snow like that very often here in the Uk, the frost's have been quite bad the last week though, on Wed last i defrosted my car by leaving it running for 10 mins then turned it off for about the same while i got everything ready to go to work and guess what lol it had frozen up again already, bring on the summer which here probably means rain lol.

      hugs

    • I own 3 Toyotas and God I'm tired of being an auto mechanic on them. I also have two Ford products and have only had to do routine oil changes and tuneups.

    • December 22, 2007 9:32 PM GMT
    • Karen - cute and often times true. I had a Dodge truck that had the coldest engine - I used to do everything short of nitro to get it to start.
      Merry Christmas

    • I had a Ford that was like that Josi, the heater (hah!) was pathetic, you could have lit a match and gotten more heat. I used to have to scrape the inside of the windshield as well as the outside.

      Nikki

    • December 17, 2007 3:17 PM GMT
    • That was hilarious Karen. The other day when I drove to work my truck did not even fully defrost. Even with warming it up for 10 minutes. It has been warmer the past two days though....and sunny here in Colorado.

    • December 17, 2007 1:47 PM GMT
    • It's lovely to be out in the snow, for whatever reason, I really like it. It's cold, fresh and exilerating.
