Yes...if other women come to you and start a conversation or ask something, that is a clear sign of passing. Yesterday a woman picked me out of the crowd at the bus stop in order to ask for advice how to get to the transport office. She would not have done that if I were a man. Or a freak.

You are absolutely right, Laura. I have noticed the same pattern. On occasion, I notice that men are looking at me, so I have reached Stage 4. Since I am not interested in men, I do not return their glances; I don't want to encourage them. Still, it is a good boost of confidence.
