The service you get

I have surveyed lately more carefully the service I get, in public transport, shops and restaurants. It varies from neutral to friendly. Not a single unfriendly or hostile case. Women tend to serve more friendly and give a "conspiration" smile while men are more silent and neutral.
I get maybe a bit friendlier service than I got as a man. But the difference is not significant.

Well...in two weeks I will see how a single woman is treated and served in Thailand. A woman traveling alone is probably not "the normal case" anywhere in the world. You can expect questions as "Where is your husband?" or "Are you alone, madam?".
