  • I like, in no particular order:
    Monk
Due South (was on terrestrial here years ago)
Dr Who (always watched it when I was young, the new series with Christopher Eccleston was fab, next series is imminent...)
Star Trek, especially Voyager cos they had a female captain, and especially when the Borg were involved; apart from being the “best” baddies ever created, to me they represented societal pressure to conform, to be identical to everyone else. “You will be assimilated, resistance is futile…” Bugger that!

    Ready, steady, cook!
What not to wear (all the things that Wendy said apply)
    Ten years younger
You are what you eat (some of these people are shocking, makes you think though)
    Make me perfect (please do!)
And all other things like that

Fawlty towers was the funniest thing ever shown on English TV
Catherine Tate (“Am I bovered though?)
    The Simpsons (sheer genius)

    Capt. Lucy Janeway Diamond
“Do not be assimilated, resistance is essential”
    xx

  • Adding another show to my list. I've started watching WHAT NOT TO WEAR. I don't agree with all their fasionista ideas, but there are many good hints included. Often it's a matter of doing the opposite of what they say to do.... I WANT a bigger ass and hips and want my shoulders to appear smaller. Reversing light and dark works well too. Wearing dark on top and light on bottom. You want to fool the eye, but often we want the reverse effect that most ggs want. It's a good show to watch to learn these concepts
