There are many of us; pursuing transition doesn't have to be a road to misery and financial ruin. I can count myself among the successful ones.

This gives me an idea; members of this forum who have been successful in this sense should post a picture (if possible) and a little biographical statement as in HTG's post.

    I'll start.

    ---------------------

I am a successful, senior-level electrical engineer who transitioned on the job without even the slightest problem. Since transition, I have received good raises and have continued to do well at work. Family and friends have also been very accepting.

Beautiful women, every one of them. Although I'm not in the position to start transition at this time, it is very inspiring to see all the success stories and it does make a girl think
    Thanks Geisha!

    Hugs & kisses,

Thats so GREAT to hear Heather Harrison. I think that is a Brilliant Idea! Here, lemme post the rest of the Successful Transexuals (Post-Ops).

It is said that there are approximately 30,000 to 40,000 post operative transsexual women live in the United States, and many thousands more are now in the process of gender transition here. These numbers are much larger than commonly assumed by the public because a veil of invisibility hides the true nature and extent of the transsexual condition. Especially hidden are large numbers of highly successful women who have fully transitioned. The reason is that most successful women live in "stealth mode" or are "woodworked". They leave their pasts behind and hide in plain sight in order to avoid social stigmatization and get on with their new lives. Their personal successes insure that they assimilate and blend right into society.

    Here are more:

Some of these women transitioned well. Some young, some mid age and some even around their work and gained acceptance in maninstream society. Its Inspiring!

I get a news letter from a group in NY. They allways include thier Tgirl pic of the month. Allways beautifull & very successful.
But it seems like thier web site is allways moving. So other than getting the news letter I have a hard time finding it.

We have a few people who are members here who have been an inspiration to others.    Not famous but who just get on with their lives.   For one Katie Glover who started this web site, produces frock magazine, someone who made all this possible and Lucy Diamond a talented musician, others who prompted me to do something different, put my limited talents to try and improve life for others.

Wow.  Really inspiring.  All too often all that you hear about is the negative aspects.  Its nice to hear the positives and to actually see real role models.
