My only option has been ebay...
Finding decent stuff online has been rather hit or miss. It complicates and limits things being tall, and on the plus size. It took a few mis-sized purchases before I began to narrow down the proper size. I do a general search for a size, and then look for any specific measurements that may indicate that the manufacturer's size is different than the typical measurements for the size I've seen.
I have only recently gone into a brick and mortar store (two trips to Walmart, nowhere else so far), unfortunately they don't cater to plus sizes. I did find a few items on one trip.
Walking through the womens dept checking out things was a huge milestone for myself. Started with ducking in and out of the section when no one was around, until I created a cover story "shopping for a GF", if anyone asked, and I was able to relax. Didn't get any weird looks or stares, so it helped the relaxation process... until I went to the cashier... but it went well.

Hi CJ-
I'm not an Otawattan....is that how you say it? But we have do have Value Village here in the USofA and I love them. Fwiw, most places I have been, whether enfemme or endrabbe and bought girl clothes, most people, at least the staff, don't seem to give a rip one way or another. Happy shopping.
Hugs...Joni Marie
