A call for new chatroom mods

  • March 30, 2009 9:25 PM BST
It has been pointed out recently that there are often no mods in the chatroom recently. To that end, I am looking for any members who feel they can contribute in a positive way to enhance the chatroom experience.

You will need to be someone who can spend a reasonable amount of time in the chatrrom on a regular basis

You will need to have a sparkling personality and the ability to get on well with people

Your role will be to stimulate chat plus meet and greet

I am determined to get a core of fantastic mods, so please help me solve chatroom problems by being part of the solution

drop me a line to [email protected] and let me know if you are interested

    Hi Lilienne-

I noticed there had been no reply to your post which seemed odd to me as I have seen so many criticisms of how the chat rooms are being run. As you may have noticed, I am not really a chatter and I certainly don't have a sparkling personality. However, I can get along with people so long as they don't p*ss me off.<lol> It just seems rather amusing to me that there are so many people who are willing to carp and comment on what they feel is wrong, yet who won't make any effort to help deal with the problem. Of course I am not so un-insightful as to not notice that I haven't offered a solution either.

Good luck with your recruitment effort, girl.

    Hugs...Joni Marie

In Lilienne's defence, she didn’t ask interested parties to post here but to send her an email. I think though, that what we must face is the fact that we are a very small community in the real world. Okay, there are plenty of tranny sites out there but we are more than just a run of the mill tranny website. We are a tranny community that is not a porn site or a meat market. How many of them are around these days?

While that may be our strength though, it is also our Achilles heel because it means that there are fewer people to call on to help run the community. We need to find ways to bring new people in and have them REALLY take part in OUR community. I feel another forum post coming on about this very subject...

    Hugs,

I’d just like to say that I think Lilienne is a great chatroom hostess and if I had more time to spend in chat I’d offer to help out.
There nearly always seems to be a mod in there when I go in so I don’t really think we have a great problem here, but if we need more mod’s then I hope people will volunteer.
In my humble opinion I think criticism of chat content is stupid; it simply depends on who is in the room at the time, it’s a chemistry thing, and ultimately it’s down to YOU the chatter. The Chatroom, like the rest of this site is what you make it, so to certain individuals, and they know who they are, who every time I bump into them are criticising this site, I’d like to suggest that they post something positive, because the only thing wrong with this site is the people who keep complaining about it because of their own personal issues.
“People may come, people may go, just as long as the waters flow…”
It is the nature of things, some people move on, some stick around, you can’t blame TW admin for night and day, the change of the seasons, or whoever decides to join or leave this site at any given time.
I like the chatroom, and I love TW, it is surely the best transgender community on the internet.
Every other chatroom I’ve ever visited is godawful!
Be proud of what we have here and contribute something positive.
Right, I’m off to the room for a quick giggle with my friends while I drink my hot chocolate.
    xx
