Whoa! I had completely forgotten about posting this! LOL
Thanks, Laura and everyone else. I bought all of those songs on CD and converted them to MP3 format myself, so maybe we're O.K. as long as none of you save those files.
I began working on Volume 3 for 2005, but I'm still trying to track down a couple of rare songs on CD, so I probably won't finish it this year. The toughest one to find is "The Twelve Days of Christmas" by Dinah Shore, from 1965 or before (probably 1962-1964). It's on an old phonograph LP that I enjoyed as a child, but I don't even know whether the song has ever been released on CD. I have the old LP (in worn condition), and I found an MP3 of the song online, but I need a clean CD-quality version of it. I've always considered TTDOC an annoying song, but her version is enjoyable (maybe my childhood memories have something to do with that).
For you Pee Wee Herman fans, she also sings TTDOC in Pee Wee's Christmas special.
If you get a chance to pick up the DVD, it's worth it.
