It's always important to remember that different shoe companies use different lasts to make their shoes. Some are larger or smaller than others and some have a different foot shape. The only sure way to know if a shoe will fit, is to try it on.....Payless Shoes does provide a measurement in inches for length and width for each size shoe. Once you have found a size that fits, for a brand, you can safely assume that other shoes in that size will fit you....but you may need to go up a half or full size for heels to fit comfortably if you tried a flat or down if you tried a heel and want a flat. They also sell inserts that will make a alightly too large size fit. A Payless 11 is too short for me but a 12 is too big....the insert in the toe makes it fit just right.
However, using a conversion chart can make it easier for you to narrow down other countries sizes to a few choices to try. Do not scuff up the bottom of new shoes if you want to return them for a different size, try them out on a rug or clean inside floor.
