    Hi all,

Sorry to have to add a thread solely to display my complete lack of understanding...

Several of you have kindly requested to add me as your 'friend' or 'buddy' or whatever it is this site calls them.

Please accept a) my apologies and b) that I'm a complete idiot when it comes to modern technology.

I received emails - which I inadvertantly deleted.

I managed to add one user as a 'friend' 'buddy' 'whatever' to my profile - completely by accident, I must confess.

Those of you out there who feel I have snubbed you or ignored you, please rest assured it was purely a product of my own ignorance.

If you'd like to resend, feel free. I think I have a handle on what I need to do.

    I just can't promise that...

    Much love

    Rae xx

Don't worry Rae, when another user adds you as a buddy, the system does not require approval, they will have added you without problems. The emails were just to let you know this had happened. You don't need to do anything. People often ask if they can add you as a buddy, but this is just a courtesy. You won't have snubbed anyone

Lilienne is quite right. However, when our software is upgraded next month, our buddy system will allow potiential friends to either accept the request or ignore it, because after all, the final say should be down to the requestee.

This is how most other social networking sites work. I don't know why it's taken us so long to get round to it.

    Hugs,

    Hi!

Lilienne, thankyou so much for taking the trouble to put my ancient mind at ease

Its not that I'm a complete technophobe, its just that it takes me a long time to get to grips with 'new' technology. I was actually involved in computing and programming way back when just about every programmer was anti-windows on the basis you could do all you wanted - and more- with DOS. It was seen as a con. Amusingly, my first job at the sharp end of computing was to crawl under the desk to remove the cloth filter for rinsing, lol. And I certainly remember the days when an eight inch floppy did'nt require viagra! Oh, how times have changed.

The other problem is that I'm still on ye olde dial-up so there are times when pages take so long to load that I've already used three bottles of Grecian 2000 in the interim period.

    But I'll catch up...

Katie, you've created a great place here and I'll embrace all evolutions - just bear in mind that some of us are dinosaurs, lol. Though MySpace meets T-Space could be a good goal...

So much love to you both.

    Rae xx
