First read the words.
Then do it again saying the color. Do both out loud.
Each is done by a different side of your brain.

Hi karen, thanks for the two great puzzles, I also managed to find 10 faces and the colour one I found it alot easier to read the colours than say the colours. which probably confirms the fact that I`ve only got half a brain lol.

I found an 'iffy' ten but I couldn't see eleven faces.
