    Hi girls,

These are tough times for everyone. You've probably noticed a number of shops and businesses closing down in your own town and the internet is also not immune to the worldwide recession we now find ourselves in.

Trannyweb has always had trouble staying afloat, even in the good times, so we need your support now, more than ever before.

If you think that Trannyweb is something that is needed by the TG community (as I do) and worth saving, then there are a number of ways you can help.

    * Firstly, if you are a Basic free member and have used our services for any amount of time and have enjoyed them and/or found them useful, you could upgrade to Full Membership and apart for giving something back, that would also give you access to many more features and benefits for a paltry sum. You can even have your first month free - just go to this page to upgrade now...

    * Secondly, if you are a bit better off than most of our members, please think about joining our inner circle here...

    * Thirdly, we will probably be making some big changes to the site in the coming weeks. Some of our least used services may disappear. This is not just a cost cutting measure but making the site a bit leaner should make it a bit easier t navigate too, We’re just trying to cut out some of the dross that you don’t need, to make it easier to get around. So please reply to this thread and let me know what you would be happy to live without and what absolutely must stay.

Having said all that, we do have plans for more new features for you over the next few weeks, so all is not lost.

    Thanks and hugs,

    Katie x

Hi Katie, i gotta say even i have noticed how tough things are at the moment. Lets just hope they pick up sooner rather than later ( specially for TW), a place thats in all of our hearts. Personally, the only things i dont use are the random profiles, tranny shopping & tranny credit balance. Never have worked out what thats for.......as for the rest of TW, i'm really not sure what else you could drop. But, if it sorts a few things out that can only be a good thing.

Is Willy Arkwright smashing up my looms again..?

Some things I think we wouldn’t miss too desperately are:
    Tranny games
    Tranny cards
    10 Random profiles
The credit balance thingy, even that’s been hit by the credit crunch

Chatroom, forums, galleries and blogs absolutely must stay.
    xx

I've never done anything in poles, surveys, cards, & tranny adds seems to me to be very under used.
Credit Balance & games are there just for fun.

As Lucy said Chat Room, Forums, Blog, Galleries are a must. At least for me, I joined for the forums.

Hey! I like the games - especially Black Jack. I've gambled at some "tough"tables and don't whine when I lose my "undergarments" ...the TW dealer is good. The credit balance can't go it's probably part of the card games so leave it - please. Some of the links could be dumped - particularly the out dated ones.
The internet, like life, is constantly changing.
We have to start encouraging Basic member who have been here a while to "Jump in" the swim of things.

    Hey Katie,

Erm, I'm probably going to cover ground we've already discussed but, you'd hope, with a slight difference.

I am a basic member. I have always maintained that I'd be prepared to upgrade to full membership but you don't have the ability to accept that. I don't use credit cards and I don't have a debit card. But TW can't accept DD's.

I think £6 per month is affordable - even in these 'credit crunch' times but I can't get that money to you!!! I am forced to remain a basic peon.

As I don't believe in asking my family and friends to use their incalcitrant cards on my behalf, I was intrigued enough to sign up to PayPal.

This system seems - in the first instance - ok. I can buy online and it's immediately deducted from my bank balance, like a debit card. If I Have'nt got it I can't spend it.

What's the chance of TW joining the PayPal throng?

    Much love

    rae,

We don't use the P-word here at TW. They did a very nasty bit of banning us for something one member posted on their private page and called us a porn site. They refused to even consider reinstating us. I no longer use PayPal at all in response.

It's true - they nearly destroyed us a few years back. We now have nothing to do with them.

I looked into the possibility of accepting Direct Debits some time ago and the setup fee was UK£1000 which we could not afford. We would also have had to pay Eric to write some code that would interface with the DD system costing us a further US$500. It was just too expensive and would have taken us years to recover the setup costs so the idea was forgotten.

However, people who don't have credit cards can pay by cheque, postal order and money order. All the info is on this page...

    Hope that helps.

Eeek! I am so sorry Wendy!!!!!!!!

This does ring a vague bell now you mention it - ho hum, put me size 11 heels straight into the middle of it, doh! - 'tho in mitigation it was before my time here. Well worth reminding us I think...

Can't agree more with your stance. I certainly won't feel happy using them in the light of what you, Katie and Anne-Marie have said - is there an alternative I could use?

Katie, thanks for the cheque reminder but, again this assumes you're in the merry position of purchasing a years membership in one go. What a nuisance that DD's seem so expensive to initiate!

    Much love to you all.
