Today, an attack on the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C was an act of terrorism committed by a white supremacist, part of a historical movement in the United States. Although the target of the attack is undoubtably the Jewish Community, make no mistake that the human rights of other groups, including ourselves, are at stake here. These people would kill us with equal pleasure. We can not wait for another Timothy McVeigh to act. We need to encourage our government representatives to up the surveillance and actions against homegrown terrorists groups. Controlling our borders will do nothing to stop these groups. If we do not stand with the Jewish Community at this time, we can hardly expect the same from them, or others, for us. Neither will we deserve it. These people have come for us and them before. We must stand together for the human rights of all oppressed groups, everywhere.
