I just wanted you to know I haven't abandoned you! I'm glad to see some new and interesting work being posted. (I deliberately try not to reply to every post - although I'd dearly love to - because I don't want this forum to be about me. It's really all about you.
I think I'm through the worst of this current bout of malaise and hope to start posting a lot more regularly soon - I have posted a bit in TW recently.
I have a bit of restriction to my lungs (they only work at 49% capacity) which, whilst a nuisance, is usually get-round-able. It makes me far more tired than average etc but no real worries. I don't know why, but for some reason this winter has really taken a bite out of my derriere and laid me quite low for the past month or so - hence my all but silence here.
I really am feeling quite sorry for not being able to gee this forum along as much as I wanted - 'Chain' Story, you have not been forgotten! - but I hope you'll understand that it's been an odd few weeks which I feel I'm now getting the better of.
I'm quite hopefull of being back to full strength in the next fortnight - although I suspect my definition of full strength is not quite someone elses...
So much love to all of you who post here and my best wishes.
    Rae. xx

    Hi Rae,

Don't worry about how soon CW progresses, your health is far more important. Looking forward to contributing to the "Chain" story but it'll wait til you are ready.

I've been working on a new story ("oh god, why won't she shut up") that I'll post to CW as soon as I find an ending...

    Best,
    Melody

    Oh, thanks Melody.
I don't like to discuss my health issues - not that it's a problem, simply because you say 'lung disease' and you instantly hit the OMG buttons with everyone. It ain't that bad. Honest. As I said to my doctor a while back, 49%? That's almost a whole lung, wheres the problem?
I'm thinking if I'm still not 100% at the end of the week, then there is no reason why I can't PM those who expressed an interest in the Story, get confirmation and get the project started. I can always slot in later - as can any other interested person...

Your story. Trouble with the ending? I'm sure you've come across my advice before. Forget about it hunni. Put the story [metaphorically or otherwise] under the bed and cast it from your mind. Get on with the dusting. Don't even give it another moments notice.

And I guarentee the ending will come to you...

    Thanks Penny, Nina and AM
I've started posting a bit more, which is good but - more importantly - I've started reading threads more which has to be a good sign!
I can only apologise - I'm British I can't help doing that! - whilst the disease is slowly progressive it's usually quite manageable. This is the first time (I was diagnosed about 5 or 6 years ago) that a winter has hit my chest hard. That, plus my lodger was away for three weeks or so. This meant that I was doing a lot of things that he would normally do or help with. General stuff. Unfortunately I tire so very quickly. I suspect that'll be the lack of oxygen then!
Anyway, hunni's, thank-you all and normal service really is about to be resumed.
Don't believe me? Well, I'll lay you all a wager. I bet I get the 'chain' story on it's way before Katie tells us the new name for the site...
    So much love to you.
