It is fixed now. Honest! The server admins in Vancouver have swapped out a failed backup drive this evening that was the cause of all these chat room problems. Sorry, there was a bit of downtime when the server was rebooted and, as MA pointed out, the room restarted in Mod Mode. That should not happen again. Fingers crossed.

Just so you know, we will be down for about 20 minutes or so, tomorrow (Friday) while our new RAID1 setup is er, set up. Just so you know when the whole site goes down. It's nothing personal.

Hi gang, just a quick line to let you know that we think we've fixed the chat room which was putting the chat rooms into moderated mode once every day. It appears to have been down to a failed backup drive which has now been replaced.

There were a few minutes of downtime while the work was carried out so if you just got thrown out of chat, please accept my apologies. I hope it won't happen again.
