I've spent all day today, working on the forums (oh and a couple of hours working on The Trib).  I think the basic framework for the forums is here now.  They are currently split into three categories - Full Members Forums, General Forums and Moderators Forums.  The Mods Forum itself has been renamed the 'Staff Room'.

 

Moving the data is going to be an enormous job.  I'm not looking forward to that bit.  I have a feeling that we may have to close the site for about a week while the transfer is being carried out.

There is still a problem with the messages that appear in the Updates area at the top of the page, when something new has been posted. I have now changed the language file for this plugin but it does not seem to have made any difference. That could be a cashing issue so here I am, posting again with the site in development mode which should prevent caching.
