What exactly is a hair volumiser system?

    Hi Lucy
If you have thinning hair or no hair over a large part of your scalp? Our Voulumizer system integrates with your existing hair instantly giving you full density over your entire scalp. Completely undetectable, easy to attach, style-able, and breathable like your skin, it is never hot, and always secure and very reliable in any situation including showering, sleeping, and swimming.

So it's not a wig, but it's a removable hair attachment?

Why hasn't the full thread been removed? It has just attracted another spammer for no other reason than the thread still  exists.

    Agreed.
Please clean up the spam from this site, no point leaving it. And please delete the spammers' accounts.

Because there was an agreement with Katie at a meeting of the Site Mods, Crissie and Katie that threads were not removed and just the spam was edited out.

The last spammer was only a member for an hour and we have other things to do, we are not here 24/7 - we do our best to keep the site clear of spam

It's easy to spot spam for some. It's a blatant advert for some rubbish product. However, constant updates full of extremely long words, vague meanings and mystical guff may be considered by some as spam too. ... Just sayin. Give the mods a break ( not including me, I'm just a humble forum mod)

It's fairly obvious that Courtney posted here specifically to advertise her business.  However, she is not in the same league as the usual spammers and porn-mongers.  I think we should be a bit more lenient with people who are genuinely just trying to offer a trans-related product or service.  What does the team think?

    Hugs, Katie   x

I think this is best discussed in a meeting with you, Cristine and the other site mods Katie

No-one's having a go at the admin/moderators, who all do a great job. I wasn't aware that such threads that are posted purely for spamming purposes are purposely left for all to view, and I'm not entirely sure why they should be.
The original poster here still has a reference to her product on her profile, effectively giving her free advertising via this thread. Perhaps that profile at least should be amended, if not deleted.
Spammers, whether obvious ones or those who hide "subliminal" links amongst gobbledegook postings are popping up all the time here, probably on a daily basis. As I understand it, anyone who comes across such abuse of this site is encouraged to report the member using the "report" link on the profile in question.
Many of us love this place and wish to vehemently defend its integrity, so please mod's, there's no need to be defensive; if we report members or highlight such threads as this one it's only because we want the site to be spam and scam free.
I'm sure all the mods want this too, but as they can't be here 24/7 some of us from time to time feel compelled to make "civillian arrests"!
Not complaining, truly just trying to help.
    xx
ps  A "removable hair attachment" sounds much like a wig to me!

I edited out the links, sent a polite note to the member suggesting she contact  Katie with a view to a paying advert,   If it was of any interest to our members,   some discresion must be used, some members make innocent suggestions, post links for all sorts of stuff they have found of use and think might be of use to others, I have given links in the chat room for Marisota, etc.   theres the obvious spammers, these are dealt with imediately they are reported or discovered by the site mods,   between us we check every new members profile and posts as soon as we log on.   Sometimes spending an hour, removing blogs, forum posts, home page comments and profiles, the obvious ones are just shown the door and out they go. some times we get as many as 20 in one day.

I am not inclined to delete forum posts like this, its a record of what happens and peoples concerns and comments.   In this case the member is only a basic member and has'nt even logged on since she made the initial post, so out she goes.

      But the thread stays.

Any full member who has a  hobby business can contact Katie and advertise, stuff.   Think there is one or two that make and sell small items of jewelrty from home.

thank you Lucy for drawing attention to this. obviously she never made contact with Katie, and then her profile just, drifted out of sight.   People making reports do help a lot.

AND no free adverts that would upset our sponsors and paying advertisers.

No Rebecca of course not. It's a free app isn't it? And even if it isn't, you aren't selling it are you.
There's nothing wrong with sharing links, "have a look at this... listen to that... maybe try this..."
But when someone joins the site, posts links in their profile to a product they are selling, and/or immediately goes to the forums to sell their wares...
Well something has to be done.
Thank you Cristine, and all the team. Once again, no-one is criticising or questioning methods or policies, we are just trying to be vigilant. Sorry if my brief post seemed otherwise, and thank you Chalice, who was actually the one who spotted this.
The now "former member" in question contributed nothing to this site, only sought to gain from it. Bye-bye wig lady, this is not how to succeed in business.
    xx

Which team is that? Do I get a guernsey? I'm on my team, I'm also Captain. lol

Seriously, why not have a Shopping/Items for Sale thread or forum?

One of the girls wanted to pass on some shoes in Chat one afternoon, nothing wrong with that.

However, I think some guidlines or critieria would have to be set up.

Just a thought, because that's how I roll. lol

    I <3 GS

There are guidlines and they are always under review.   I make it up as I go along. someone has to do it and after discussion with the other site mods, I get their views, suggestions and advice we agree and format a policy.   thats how we roll.

We may soon have a mechanism for genuine trans-related businesses to advertise their wares here for free.  More on that soon.

Cool! But it might need to be promoted more prominantly. And yeah, I know! Everything needs a higher profile.
