For anyone seeking a local social/support group, The Gender Society can provide one way of finding or even creating one.

There are people here who are already members or may want to start up a new local group with you. I think we can improve this in a number of ways.

If you're already a member of a local group or want to start one, how do you think your group would appreciate a 'site within a site' of its own here at GS? Everything you'd need is already here, built and run for you. Even if your group already has a site of its own, there are features available in the 'Groups' and 'Pages' sections of GS that could be perfect for growing your group. You can even sell things through the 'Pages' section. It might allow you to sell memberships to your local group if and when your group is ready. A group membership option may also become available. Katie knows more about all this, but we're working on ideas together and could use your feedback!

So, why not create a 'site within a site' here and encourage others in your local group to join? Increase your visibility and ability to find new members! Let's unite local, grassroots support groups here at GS!
