It really happened!

    Ok, so I went to see the nurse today for some pre-op tests and, just as she is inserting the needle into my arm to take a blood sample she says to me "Just a little *****." I smiled and before I could stop myself, I uttered "Not for much longer!" Made us both smile, that did.

    On second thought, in another context yes it could be rude. Not here though. It's not inappropriate at all. Good one! : )

    No, not really. Much depends on how and where it's used. That Sarah even contemplated deleting it is classy and lends some creedence to the notion that it isn't appropriate in all uses. In this case, I completely agree with you that there's nothing wrong with it at all and there's absolutely no reason to delete or censor it. I could have left it at "Agreed. Completely."

    The ***** was already *****'d out, so it took me a minute to figure it out. Once I did, I busted up laughing. That was classic!
