Drowning in a sea of tape and boxes.

And so the great packing fest of 2008 has begun in earnest. My youngest has been fretting about how all his toys will get to Bedford. Ive tried explaining it, but as hes never moved yet, he cant quite see how it will happen, so I decided to start with the kids room. I had no idea they had so many many toys!!!! It took an hour and a half to get it emptied of all their stuff. Then suddenly it was filling the lounge, without a single square inch of carpet to be seen.

It took a while to get them going, but by the end of Saturday, the boxes were filled, the bedroom was emptied, and the lounge was, well still filled with boxes to be honest.

Being the sort to worry a lot, and having answered the worry about how long it would take to pack up all the kids stuff, I then set about worrying about the size of van that Im going to need. I had in mind a box Luton transit, but it was looking like an expense, and I had no idea if there would actually be enough space. I found one on the web somewhere that listed the cargo space, and its 4 meters by 2 meters by 2.2 meters high, so having measured it out in the lounge, and measured the large furniture items, its looking like plenty of space.

The first price I could see on the web was 250 quid for a weekend!!!!!! Then I found a hire company just up the road from where I work now, and its only 150 quid ish, so I'll be on the phone first thing Monday.

Lord how I hate packing and moving. And its only just started!!!!!!
