As I retire, and the close of one year and the birth of another, I want to take a moment to thank everyone here for their support, their kindness, their friendship and their company in this past year.

It has passed so quickly. In the center hall of our house we still have a light of stars hanging from the ceiling placed there last Christmas.

I am too tired to contemplate the time and the changes that have taken place in this year, the leagues my emotions have crossed - depths of pain and sadness to brilliant breathless heights of joy. I am different in ways I don't know.

I hope I have contributed in a positive and meaningful way to the lives I have touched. I hope your lives are better for the contributions I have made.
