    only way i used to get piccies in my blog is to upload them somewhere else, that must allow 'hot linking' or be in the same domain... use your t-web web space for this (that works, I used it a few times). then when posting your blog include a link to the image in html code.

    clumersome but it does work.

    e.g. piccy uploaded to 'http://gendersociety.com/mypic.jpg' can appear in your blog via <img src="http://gendersociety.com/mypic.jpg" alt="text to show in bubble" />

    which gives you the picture, and allows you to put some text with it.

    there may be a simpler way, but you don't expect me to do something the easy way...

    Can you let me know when the fix is in place?

    Also, I'm trying without luck to use FIREFOX as my browser on a MAC platform. It will not accept any HTML from the menu bar.

    If I attempt to load a picture, I get the upload window but no completed connection (i.e. it say uploading forever) and I also get a second window previewing the picture that will not close when I press ok or cancel. It must be closed by the close window button.

    Help!

    PS To put pictures in my blog I've tried using
    <img src="http://homepage.mac.com/m.a.steel/.public/ann/bluedress.jpg" alt="blue dress"/> Is there an error in syntax? The URL refers to my .mac account where I can store photos and images. It is correct.

    syntax looks fine from here, theres a real easy way to test it though. make a blank html file (with windos its made using 'notepad', not sure on a mac, but a plain text editor will do).

    <html>
    <body>
    <>Test</p>
    <img src="http://whatever" alt="" />
    </body>
    </html>

    save it, then point your web browser at the file (again not sure how a mac does that) it should show a very simple web page, with your picture if it works. or some sort of error or broken picture icon if it doesn't...

    but it looks spot on, if you put the url (the 'http://....' bit) into firefoxs address bar it should load the picture for you

    There is an easier way, if I can do it, it can’t be that difficult…
    First upload your pics to a Trannyweb album. I’ve created a new album just for my blog pics. When you create a new album you can select whether or not it is public, my “blog pics” album is not public so the pics in it can only be viewed by other members when I copy them into my blog. You don’t need to know anything about html codes (whatever they are) or be able to do any other clever tricks to get them from a Trannyweb album into your blog:
    Simply open the pic you want from your album (ie click on the thumbnail so it becomes full size), then right click and select “Copy”. Then go to your blog, get the cursor to the point in your text where you want the pic to appear, right click and select “Paste” (or click on the clipboard icon), your pic will magically appear in your blog. It might be a good idea to do all this by having two windows open, one for the blog and one for the Trannyweb album, then you can easily click between the two.
    By the way, to make sure I never lose anything I’ve written for a blog or a forum post (people have reported getting logged out just before they posted and losing it all) I usually compose in Word, then copy and paste into my blog or onto the forum.
    So basically, you just have to open your album pic, then copy and paste it into your blog, no strange computer language is required!
    xx

    Hello peeps,

    I think this is a new bug. It worked okay last time I tried uploading a pic but that was some time back. I tried again today and it didn't work at all.

    I'll drop a line to Eric the programmer and ask him to fix it.

    Hugs,

    Fixed! Sorry it took a while. Strangely, it turned out to be our GoogleAds which were causing a conflict on the blog composition page.

    Removing the Google Ads fixed the problem. However, we do rely on people clicking those ads to help keep this community afloat so removing them from that page means a small but important cut in our already stretched income.

    Please remember that if you see Google ads on any of our other pages.

    Thanks and huggies,

    Katie x
