Can you all tell me how much you've paid for reassignment surgery?

    Is $8500 a reasonable price?

    Thanks, April

Hiya April, what have you been offered for that money and by whom, The most important is the whom, someone who has a great reputation in this field is so important. Some of the cheaper options entail traveling to far away places like Thailand, so thats an extra expense. very often that does not work out any cheaper, but reports of the most well known eminent surgeons there are well reported and their reputation is beyond reproach. Saying that you also have to consider the distance you would have to travel should things not go well and have to fork out extra for corrective surgery at home. Also depends on the procdure that suites you best, or a particular procedure you have in mind. Within reason, its not so much cost as what you end up with. Average price in the UK is currently £8-£10K for a basic inversion procedure. Some surgeons also have different approaches to this technique, Thai surgeons tend to do a pre op scrape to remove genital hair, Here surgeons consider that destroys nerve tissue and fine blood vessels and prefer to rely on electolysis as a pre op method.

Best thing is to look for surgeons first by repute and then compare costs.
