A few weeks ago I had become very sick and
I had no idea why I was like this only that something had to be done about it. So I made the desision after not beeing able to eat for a few days . I elected that I was to be driven to our local hospital to findout what the problem was. After beeing kept in the Emegency department for a few hours and after a few test was done along with blood work I was to be Admitted to hospital. They had sent me to the critical care unit where I was put in a very comphy bed and they hooked me up to the life sign monitoring equipment. this system is standard in any hospital when monitoring someones vitals . During my stay in CCU I had become feverish to the point the nurses would bring me glasses full of Ice to eat to lower my body s temputer. It was in this unit that there was a reasion why everything had become out of control. that reasion was that I had an infection in my foot that had become very aggesive. they had asked an orthopidic surgeon to come have a look see of my foot . this surgeon had looked at my foot and had requested they perform a few test on it known as "dopler". this test is done to find out what blood flow is present in large and small vains . After all this was done I was given a very steren warning by him . this warning by him was that If I was to ever to return to hospital for the same reasion that he and I would descuss the possiblity of "Amputation of my right foot in total". I had another Dr come to look at this foot and its wound and in his opinion "it was not going to happen ..not today " At that moment I thought I just dodged a bullet that could of changed my life and my mobility for life. I had spent 5 days In CCU due to the fever and that my blood sugars where not in full control. later on they where able to control them so that I could be moved to a "Wing" and then to be released to go home. I had managed to do so and i was releaved to be on a normal floor with others and not so limited as I was in CCU. I had spend 4 days in a "Wing" when I was told that My Dr s plan to release me but with one condition . that I would be an "out peisent " and that I would be on a IV portable pump for 6 weeks. they had all put me on a very strong Anti biotic known as "Vancamiacin" it was told to me why after I had did an Xray . the Xray had revealed that the infection had been in a small foot bone and the reasion to on such medication for 6 weeks was warented. So far things have been going well and Im told that my foot is healing very fast. So fast that I am a head of what was predicted .
