My Election dilemma

    Hi Girls

I'm sorry but I just can't stop being political at the moment. On Thursday in the British General Election for the first time in my life I face a real dilemma. For thirty years I have supported and been a member of the Labour Party (I am a strong left wing socialist), but this time I have a real problem. I am struggling to support Blair who in my opinion took us into war with Iraq illegally and immorally with his master Bush pulling the strings on the poodle puppet. I understand and felt deeply for USA after 9/11 but this war was wrong and had no justification (whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden). I marched through London with 5 million others against this action, and now Blair comes back for my vote. The alternative to voting for Blair is to allow the right back into power. I can't contemplate this. In 79 when Thatcher came I sat down and cried on the stairs with pessimism. In 97 I cried with joy when we came back to power.

So what is a poor working class girl to do on Thursday???

Do any other British girls face the same dilemma of not being able to vote Labour but wanting them to win??

    Hugs

    Philippa
