Coming Along

Since my last blog post we've seen quite a bit of headway, with a number of bug fixes, a new login system which allows users to log in with their Facebook, Twitter or other IDs, a neat new way of linking your Gender Society Account with your Facebook, Twitter, Photobucket, MySpace or a heap of other accounts, and yet another upgrade of our core software.

I've just noticed that we are now able to assign members as moderators to individual forums - something we could not do before, so that's a definite step in the right direction.  However, it doesn't seem to work yet so I'll be opening a new support ticket with the developers in a few minutes, when I've finished writing this.

Ivan the developer who we've hired to do some work on the site, if finally working on his first job for us.  My colleague Tony tells me that Ivan is tweaking the login system so that our members will be able in future, to log in using their old user names from the other site, instead of their email addresses, which could be confusing for many.

We will shortly be installing more new software which I hope will give you heaps of stuff to do here.  We’ve got some Question & Answer software coming soon, quizzes and a virtual currency so you can buy stuff without having to give your identity away.  We’ll also have a points system which you’ll be able to use to buy books, virtual gifts and even upgrade memberships.  I’m also looking at replacing our old T-Log software with a sparkly new online version.

As usual, you have my thanks for your continued efforts at finding bugs and putting more content on the site.  If you have time, please do insert some more YouTube videos on transgender subjects, write some blog entries, post in the forums and post some classifieds.

    Thanks and hugs, Katie   x
