Whatever next?

When I posted my last blog entry a week ago, I could have no idea that the coming days would bring us to our knees.

It took about two and a half years to get our PayPal account and our membership software working in harmony.  Eric and the gang in Canada have spent a huge amount of time on it and right up until a week ago, PayPal were still moving the goalposts.

Several members subscriptions were either changed or cancelled without any intervention from us or the members.  We laid the blame at PayPal's door as they had told us that subscriptions can not be changed by anyone else.

Then suddenly, without any warning, I received and email that simply said that our account had been closed.

At first I thought it was a prank sent out a bored teenager in Korea as I've had similar spoof PayPal notices before.  Then I tried logging into our account and the awful truth dawned on me - we really had been closed down.

This has been a terrible few days.  More than two thirds of the subscriptions we have worked so hard to sell have been cancelled - just like that.

I can't believe that so much time, so much work and so much money has simply been wasted.

Although the girls have rallied round and have tried to help, I'm still very sad because so many of our plans for 2005 will now have to be shelved because of lack of funds.

We're now back to a situation where we may not even make enough money to pay for our monthly running costs.  That's very bad.

Sorry to sound so grim but times is hard.  I wonder what is likely to happen next?

    Hugs,
