Meny time through out the years here on GS Ive been asked what makes Canada so great . well its kinda hard to explain it and in my opinion its best that you experince it for yourself . Canada has so much to offer depending on what you wanna see . This blog is dedicated to a very special hero of mine , his name is "Stompin Tom Connors " Tom is a well known canadian counrty music performer . He is known from coast to coast and canada wide . What makes this man so speacial you ask ? Well as a child he was an orphan and grew up in a small town called "skinner 's pond " on Prince Edward Island . At the age of 13 he ran away to live his life . he worked many jobs to make ends meet like working on a coal boat or on the docks as a long shore man . Tom sang alot about the places he s been to or things we take for granted . He was a proud canadian and wrote songs about his stong beleafs . This country has lost a true canad ian but as the wind blows from coast to coast his music and his legend will live on forever in the hearts and minds of canada !! R.I P Stompin Tom Connors
