    Hi Girls.
It seems to me that we Trannies have been around ever since OG nipped out of his cave to spear his first sabre tooth tiger fur baby doll nightie...Often welcome, as in classical Greek theatre,
    sometimes not so.

This is from SEXUAL LIFE IN ENGLAND by Ivan Bloch.

...In October 1794 Bow Street Police Station received an anonymous letter to the effect that a group of men were accustomed to gather each Monday night in an inn called the "Bunch Of Grapes", near Claire Market, (London), for the most unnatural and hideous practices. The report stated that the members of this club were nearly all thieves and forgers...On entering the room the guard found two fellows in women's attire, with muffs and wide shawls and most fashionable turban-like bonnets, silken pinafores, etc. Their faces were painted and powdered, and they were dancing a minuet in the middle of the room...They were all arrested, a total of 18, and the following morning, clad in their women's dresses, they were taken before the magistrate to be questioned. It turned out that each member of the club had a woman's name, such as "Lady Golding", "Countess Papillon", "Miss Fanny", etc...An enormous number of people gathered outside the Police Station and threatened to lynch the prisoners, who were handcuffed in pairs and chained together, and thus led away to prison accompanied by a strong escort of soldiers to protect them from the wrath of the mob...It was impossible to prevent the people throwing stones and mud at the culprits the whole way there.

Unfortunately the publisher does not say what happened to these girls in the way of any punishment,'though in other parts of the book he does describe punishments for other cross dressers.

Whichever, the above is an important part of TRANNY HISTORY and the real purpose of this thread is to encourage any girls who have similar information, or indeed any information, about the history of cross dressing be it in Religion, Mythology, etc., to publish their information for everybody's interest, and in time we may be able to create the biggest "TRANNY ARCHIVE" anywhere in the world...As David Essex, as the Soldier, said in Jeff Wayne's "War Of the Worlds", "look, I've made a start", in the TRANNY MOVIES forum there is the beginnings of Cross Dressing In The Performing Arts which is there for anyone to peruse, for fun,
for interest, and for those who may be doing their own research on the subject.
    What say you girls?
    Love Elly, X.

    Elly,
Sorry to respond in a direction other than the one you intended, but I must make two quick references:

Bow Street Station. I like to read Anne Perry novels, and one of her characters, Thomas Pitt, worked out of Bow Street.

"War of the Worlds." Wow. They're trying to remarket that album here in the States with that new CD package. I still have my vinyl copy!
