I emailed last week my application to the local navigation society in order to become a member. They already answered and wished me welcome and asked me to email the date of my navigation exam. It is 14.12.2001, I passed the exam still as male. I have got later my skipper´s diploma on my new name and it hangs inframed on my kitchen wall. After the guys got my data there has been a total silence, no emails, nor the 10 euro bill fot the annual membership.
If this silence continues long, I must make the conclusion I´m not welcome, after all. I passed my navigation exam with an A.

One sailing friend of mine said that these gentlemen are very conservative, mostly swedish-speaking and relatively wealthy boat owners.
