Hello everybody. I'm new here (obviously). I'm an 18 year old crossdresser living is South East England. I've been crossdressing for about a year now, but so rarely I'm still rather new to the whole thing. I don't have any clothes of my own, but I want to buy some soon. I'm come out to some of my friends but not my family (and it doesn't seem a likely thing at that :-/). I mostly just do it for the fun of dressing up, though I'm hoping one day to go out and about.

Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself.

    Hi all
I'm all very new to this site,
I'm a 24yrold TV from Australia, I have been dressing since my early teens. I have a half decent wardrobe but need more (don't we all). I go out from time time time but not as often as I'd like. I do dress very androg when at work and out with my few (uniformed) Friends.
I am currently single, my last girlfriend didn't like the fact I had better taste than heretee hee
Yes I'm a "lesbian" I like girls far too much some say lol.
I look forward to chating to you all at some point

Thanks for all the helpful advice and warm welcomes, everyone! I finally have some clothes of my own now. I went shopping today and after much looking and more cursing I finally picked out a nice red top and black skirt in my size for only £13.24, which I think is pretty good. And the checkout-lady didn't even blink. I felt kinda like I was gonna collapse though.

Thank you all for helping me on that first little step. I love this place already.

    Hi Monica

I'm old enough to be your grandmother (worked it out on my fingers) but can still understand your problems in starting out.

You will find plenty of sensible advice (and some not-so-sensible-but-fun) here.

If you have a busy supermarket that stocks make-up near you buy it there an item at a time - you will find that the check-out ladies will scan it through without even thinking about it.

Mail Order is best to start out as there is no face-to face contact and you will not be ripped off like some of the specialist Transgender Shopping sites.

Put 'Fashion World' into Google as a start.

    Hi Monica and Debbie

    Welcome.

I'm old enough to know better, but I don't.

Hope you aren't put off by us old tarts, especially on your section of the board. If you learn one thing from us then learn that it isn't going to go away, ever. Then learn that it can be fun.

I think nowadays things are so much better for tgs. You're both out to some friends whilst most of us oldies are still quaking in our closets. We've much to learn from you. Hang around girls 8)

    Best wishes

    Sarah
