For two days I have been trying to upload my picture. I have an Kodak Easyshare so it's a real simple camera for me to operate. I just can't seem to transfer photos over to TW. I can, however e-mail pictures to myself. Maybe I should e-mail them to my TW address? If I knew what that was. Duh, I am so stupid sometimes. Help!

I did it! I'm not quite sure how, But I kept cropping my picture until it worked! I am soooooooo happy! Thank you Katie! You should see the big smile on my face right now. I am a happy woman. Now everyone can see Prissy!

Once approved, pics should immediately show up. If not, you may need to refresh your browser. If you are in the chatroom you will need to exit and re-enter for your icon to show.

I uploaded a new picture yesterday and it is displayed today. I've never had to wait very long for pictures to show up - well other that when I did it wrong the first time. I'd wonder if there is a difference between how large format - high megapixel resolutions - and lower resolution pictures are handled by the software. With newer cameras the pictures file size can be quite large.

I like that pictures are moderated - filtered - approved whatever you wish to call it. I've been in other groups where the policy was no nudity but of course there were always a few who felt that those rules didn't apply to them. More times than I'd like, I've been surprised by a pantyhose clad sausage when all I wanted was to see how others presented themselves - check their sense of style and maybe get some ideas.

So that's my 2 cents or pence on the subject.

One point to note on pics. Don't expect them there instantly. Of course they're checked first, but even when you get your 'hurrah! pic approved' notice give it another couple of days for them to find their way online.

In essence, Marsha, I agree. With the theory. And it might just be my old coal-burning Heath Robinson set up to fault. But I have [on a couple of occasions] updated my pics, waited, got the 'all clear' signal, and nothing has changed. Done it again. Same response. Done it again, thought 'ho hum', turned off the pc et al, fired up the next day. Same response. Checked the next day. Nothing. It took several days after approval.

But, as I've said before, it's probably just Katie sticking pins in my effigy. You know what she's like

Actually I was kind of drunk last night when I said that & I'm sorry I did.
But I just don't understand M/A you were the most liked & well known person here.
You were in my top 5 easy. Than you became angry about something & that anger is in everything you post now.
I responded to the anger not the person.

Back to the subject, however briefly.

I can and do moderate 'front of house' pictures.

I do not 'approve' pictures.

I can and will 'not approve' pictures.

If I am happy for my son or mother to see it, it's in. If not, it isn't.

So far, I have never had to 'disapprove' a picture for either icon or picture.

There is a place on TW for more risqué pictures. Become a member.

As yet, whenever I have clicked yes, the picture has been visible almost immediately.

Anyone who wants to exhibit themselves or look at those sort of pictures will find plenty elsewhere on the web. Just not here, thank you. I have no problems with anyone who is that way inclined, and no objections to them belonging to TW. I just have no desire to see it on a family oriented site like this.

Nearly end of lecture. Final point, I really would like the sniping/bitching/insults to stop. Not just in this thread, but the others as well. I enjoy a good discussion as much as anyone, but when it gets personal it spoils it for everyone.
