I realize this is all a bit late but for anyone else who wants to know.

Basically you can be safe almost anywhere in Reguliersdwaarstraat (main gay street). I especially love Saturninos restaurant and they love me coming (tell them Mandy sent you).

Other places to go are:

Cafe Sluitjes (drag show at small restaurant seats about 30). Probably not a placve to go on your own.

Same Place (night club for fetish fans which has dark room but action happens in main room downstairs too). Minimum bar bill (15 Euros I think) applies but no entry fee.

Mariposa shop (quite a way out of time and recommended for shy girls) - There is a dressing service and makeup with a coffee lounge as well as shop (see http://www.mariposa.nu/ho[...]sa.html for English description).

Shame I've returned to UK or I could show you around !
