Update: Well, I've now got a room in a houseshare in Isle of dogs (about 2 minutes from mudchute DLR if anyone knows it). The houseshare is with 2 very friendly italians who are a bit older than myself, but they like to keep to themselves really. My job doesn't start for another week yet so I'm just killing time and surfing the internet a lot

Well, after what feels like forever in education, I've finally finished and managed to convince an employer that I actually know what I'm doing (aren't they in for a surprise ). My job starts at the begining of October so i'll hopefully be moving to London sometime in September.

Anyone have any tips or advice about where is a good place to try and get a flat in London (the job is in canary wharf) or locations of any good support groups / night life in London. I've been to London a grand total of 4 times now, and only one of those was for longer than 2 hours so I really don't know where to start.
