Regarding tucking and holding things in place, panties work well if they meet certain criteria:
1) The cotton crotch needs to be as wide as they can be without resorting to something Grandma would wear. Yuk! That's something a girl would never do!
2) Not all poly/nylon panties will do. A panty needs to contain a certain amount of Spandex, no less than 15%.
3) The waste and leg bands need to be strong enough not to give.
4) Though you can easily wear low-rise bikinis', the front panel needs not to dip down too much. In other words it needs to hold its' place and not drop down too much.
Most panties will do just nicely. However, number 1 and 2 above are critical in getting that rounded, nice and smooth look.
During this time of year (mid to late-July), one thing you can buy, for next to nothing, that meets all these points exceptionally well, is the bottom of a two piece bikini bathing suit. This works better than any panty you'll find and meets all four points above, especially #1. It would be hard to find a bikini panty with as wide a crotch.
Support? Swimsuits have so much Spandex in them and are so tight at the bands that a regular bikini panty can come close to meeting these points.
During the spring and early summer buying a swimsuit bottom costs much more than three of four pair of panties. But starting in mid-July the stores are trying to move their summer stock to make room for the fall stock of clothes. Consequently, summer swimsuits can usually be found on the clearance racks for less than what you would pay for any panty.
Another big, BIG plus is that swinsuit bottoms come in a huge variety of colors and patterns. Very pretty. Everytime the nurse gives me my injection of hormones in my behind she says, "You always have the prettiest panties I've ever seen. :-) But with this girl, all my panties are that way, not just the swimsuit bottoms.
When you're wearing tight jeans or slacks the look is wonderful.
The only drawback is that if you wear a tight, light colored skirt, you will most probably see a panty line. So dress accordingly and enjoy the look and feel girls. This works really well.
Such a deal! Good luck!

Don't we have just the funnest posts here on TW? I have tried to persuade the boys to go hide themselves by manual manipulation (is that redundant) but with only limited success. As has been mentioned, they will naturally tuck up into the body cavity when they are cold. One thing you can do is apply an icepack to them and they will tuck up just as nicely as you please. You can use a pack of frozen peas from the fridge, just don't mention it to anyone at dinner time.

An amusing and useful hint, Joni. Takes the idea of a girl has to suffer to be beautiful to a whole new level. I'll never complain about hot waxing again.

Thank you, Wendy. You should have the waxing done by a pro, hon. That incident with all those candles on your birthday cake doesn't really count. And I meant what I said about not mentioning it at the dinner table. Did you know a mouthful of cooked peas can travel nearly eight feet? Fact.

Hi Jen,
Another alternative is to wear a "gaff" which is basically a pantie that's made specifically to hold everything in place once you are tucked. Very similar to your swimsuit bottom solution.
Another solution is to use a sanitary napkin inside panties that that don't have enough strength to hold everything in place. (Just don't try a tampon...)

Melody

Sabini, I love it. Taping is how I started with "hiding the boys". Now I just don't worry about it. I wear a dress or a skirt. and a panty gidle. That's enough work for me.

Look on Rbay and you'll find "lots" of bikini botoms usually for around 5.00+ shipping.
Search youtube and you'll find all kinds of videos on tucking. You can also find many videos for making cleavage, and doing your make up, etc.

Many stores now sell bikini suit bottoms and tops separately as a lot of women do not have balanced tops and bottoms. This should cut the cost of using suit bottoms to tuck.
Jen, there is a good chance your grandmother did not always wear a bra. TMI?
I wish I could remember if Joni served any dishes with peas in them when I visited her. Or maybe I do not... Spare the Peas; sit in a tub of ice water.

Hi Jen,
Your comment about "blah colors" confuses me. If anything, the ones I've seen advertised are all Red, Black or White. I would welcome a blah nude one, lol. I only have one in my wardrobe, a black one that I wear in Andro mode when I'm in jeans, since regular panties don't hide anything.
Pricey, yes. But you get what you pay for if you buy quality.
Never tried the swimsuit idea, mostly because I don't have a 2 piece suit (I have no waist without a corset, and that's not a swim accessory.)
When I go out fully dressed, shapewear makes the point moot.
Think it comes down to whatever works for you.
Best,
Mellie

I wear "control knickers " that have an elasticated front panel. They're not very pretty but they definitely send "the boys" elsewhere.
A pencil skirt with a bulge in the front?
No!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the most obvious and even feminine solution to this problem: use a panty liner (if you can stand the strange looks you get when buying the damned things). They are comfortable and effective.
p.s. apologies if someone has already mentioned this as a solution.
