You are so right Porscha. That is a really sad event going on in Tel Aviv, kids of all things. But the point you made about laws don't always prevent incidents like this and possibly fan the fires as you say of bigotry and abuse is the reality of the situation. It only took one person to cause so much havoc. Don't forget this was against the gay community which has made strides in acceptance over the last several decades. As transgendered, we have a long road ahead and we can't let our guard down. It comes down to education and that takes time. Not days, weeks, years, but more likely decades. Hopefully as time goes on incidents like this will become fewer and fewer. In a way these kids become martyrs and should never be forgotten. For the gals here that are not yet ready to go out because of fear that a similar thing could happen, that is all right, but down the road just never forget who paved the way for your freedoms.
