Hi Girls,
I mentioned in this thread that I'd ordered a replacement epilator for my old one that finally bit the dust.
I've been using the new one for a couple of weeks. Works pretty good but has a tendency to grab the flesh at my wrists into the blades. Didn't ever break the skin, but had to very gently free up the trapped skin from the pincers. Left a couple of ugly bruises, but I've learned to make sure the skin is stretched tight in that area when I use it.
Reason I'm posting is an incident that happened at my local high end supermarket this week. They have the best meat in the area and they stock some premium brands that the other local stores don't. I was buying some steaks for my 4th of July grill and one of the regular checkers was ringing up my purchases.
I was in drab mode: polo shirt, jeans, sneakers and a "Fox Sports" baseball cap. (I have almost no interest in sports, but it's the best cap I own, a customer loyalty reward from my old cable company.) The checker, as usual, engaged me in a conversation about sports, because of the cap I guess, and I was doing my best to fake my way through based on what I'd ignored while watching my local newscast the night before. Same old, same old.
Suddenly he saw my hairless arms and went dumb - stopped babbling about sports in mid-sentence. He started staring at me, especially my arms, with the strangest look in his eyes. I was truly worried he was about to come on to me. Strange feeling.
Since I have never been very hairy anyway, I was totally surprised by his reaction. Guess it takes all kinds...
Best,
Melody

My first epi arrived today, tho wish i had read this forum first! Just gave it a quick try on legs, just a little, lol. as I only shaved them 2 days ago, it seemes ok, wondering if it worse on unshaved/longer hair areas?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated
