Thanks for thinking of me.  I'd love to come on a TW girly night out.

What about a Wednesday at House of Drag.  I met steffan Whitfield once after The Wayout one evening a few years back.

She was most interesting to talk to and was off round the world, entertaining tranny-friendly folk all over the place, the very next day.

I'm glad to see that she is now making it in clublnd too.

    Hugs,

    Katie

Check out the Mayflower Club - it's the main support group down there - and they have a few trannie nights every month around the area

A TW Night out.  Sound a great idea - Perhaps Katie will join us. As soon as I get paid for some work I cn mke some plans - why do large businesses think it is OK to hold payment for months.

I've only stayed at the Beaver once. It was clean and OK.
I had a car to park then and the Beaver has parking if anybody is interested.

Cool Rikki, let me know. Maybe we can ask other TW girls to come along and have an un-official TW night!

There's another great place on a Wednesday night - the 'House of Drag'. It's just off Oxford Street by Marble Arch station at 3 Green Street (I think - sprry, can't remember the exact details). I think there's a web-site too at www.houseofdrag.com or something like that.

It's a cosy little place with a great cabaret act. It's main downfall is that it isn't well enough supported (there were fewer than 25 girls there last time I went) and the drinks prices are a little high but that will no doubt change as more people visit.

Two great clubs I can recommend for next time you find yourself in Blighty and you're all dolled up with nowhere to go...

Try The Wayout Club at 9 Crosswall (off Minories),
London EC3N every Saturday night where I made my en-femme debut.  It's hot, noisy and camp as a row of tents, but the atmosphere is great and everyone else is just like you.

Also, for those who like a slightly more sedate evening out, try Ron Stormes (AKA Club Travestie Extraordinaire)
at Stepney's Nightclub, adjacent to The George Tavern, 373  Commercial Road, London, E1 (on the corner of Jubilee St).

I'm glad to say that I met Ron Storme on several occasions before he died a little over a year ago.  His club lives on though!

    Hi Girls
There is a new venue at the Barbican in London opening on the 7th September and then every 1st Saturday of the month.
I went with three other girls to their intro/party night in June and I thought it was fab, so did they.
The dance floor is in the basement and there is plenty of space to dance and there is a sitting area and bar. The ground floor has the main bar and large sitting/standing area with a separate cloak room upstairs.
I am looking forward to going on the 7th September, hope to see some of you there.
There is a webb site http://www.trans-mission.org for more info

    hugs

    Hi Katie,

I've always wanted to go to House Of Drag, although it's a fair old drive from Manchester and on in the middle of the week, rats!
So for the time being a trip down for a mid-week outing is out.
Saturdays give me enough travel time and allow me more freedom. Roll on September 7!
