Good idea, this board. When I was a youth I used to search the public library for any references to tg  :-[ (although that term hadn't been coined then). The first, and just about the only, one I found was Turnabout by an american called Thorne Smith. It was written and set in the Thirties, I think. It was about a husband and wife who magically change bodies. On reflection it was no better than many of the stories you find on Crystal's or Fictionmania but at the time it was a revelation to me.

Thorne Smith wrote a a lot of other books none, as far as I could find, with a Tg theme. Perhaps it was his way of peeping out of the closet?

I also seem to think that the book was either made into,  or "inspired", a film but I'm damned if I can remember what it was. Anybody know????
